The Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) has appointed Basil Christopher Massey as the Convenor for its upcoming 15th Anniversary Convention and Awards, to be held from 6th to 9th November 2025 in Amritsar, Punjab.
Massey brings over 40 years of experience in hospitality procurement and has held leadership roles with leading hotel brands, including The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts and Duet India Hotels. His professional background and long-standing association with HPMF position him well to oversee the planning and execution of this year’s convention.
The HPMF Convention and Awards is an annual gathering of professionals from the hospitality procurement and supply chain ecosystem. The event typically hosts over 500 delegates, including purchase heads, supply chain professionals, general managers, chefs, and industry representatives. It serves as a platform for dialogue, learning, and recognition of best practices in procurement.
Nitin Shankar Nagrale, Founder and General Secretary of HPMF, said: “Massey’s appointment as Convenor reflects our focus on experience-led planning for this milestone edition. His understanding of procurement functions and professionalism will contribute significantly to the overall structure and outcome of the event.”
In response to his appointment, Massey stated: “It is a privilege to take on the role of Convenor for HPMF’s 15th Anniversary Convention. I look forward to working with the HPMF team, members, and partners to deliver a well-structured and meaningful event.”
