
The Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge (EverestBKCC) Season 7 was successfully hosted at the State Institute of Hotel Management, Indore, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, hospitality leaders, faculty members, and aspiring chefs. Organized by Better Kitchen Magazine, EverestBKCC is recognized as India’s largest national-level culinary competition for hotel management students, designed to bridge the gap between education and industry by nurturing the next generation of hospitality leaders.
The challenge provides students with a robust national platform to sharpen their professional skills, embrace creativity and innovation, and gain international exposure. Opportunities include paid internships or higher studies in global hospitality institutions, empowering participants to build successful careers worldwide.
Speaking on the mission of this initiative, Ekta Bhargava, Publisher, Better Kitchen, said, “Our goal is to prepare students for future challenges and promote Indian regional food at a global level, maintaining its originality and flavour.” She emphasized that the challenge continues with its core theme, “Flavours of India,” which has been central since Season 1. The initiative aims to showcase and preserve India’s diverse culinary heritage, encourage younger generations to explore healthy regional cuisines, and promote culinary tourism across the country.
EverestBKCC Season 7 is being hosted across 19 cities in India, alongside three concurrent national-level competitions: Better Kitchen Bakery Champion, Better Kitchen F&B Young Masters Challenge, and Enzo Housekeeping Olympiad. The series will culminate in a grand national finale in Mumbai. Participants from all four competitions also stand eligible for a USD 500 WCE Scholarship under the Bridge USA J-1 Exchange Visitor Program for twelve months or for pursuing higher studies in Europe in hospitality programs.
The national winners of BKCC Season 7 will be honored with cash prizes of INR 51,000, INR 21,000, and INR 11,000, while their respective institutes will also be rewarded with INR 25,000, INR 10,000, and INR 5,000 as a gesture of appreciation for mentoring and supporting young talent.
The Central India semi-final round saw enthusiastic participation from students across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The esteemed jury included Chef Krishna Kumar Todawat, Chef Vahid Khan, and Mani Shekhar Pandey, Regional Director – TGI Hotels. The event also witnessed the presence of Sumit Deogade, Marketing Manager – MPCG; Arunava Biswas, Territory Manager LPG, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.; Ravi Limaye from MYMENU365; faculty of hotel management institutes; and other dignitaries.

The announcement of winners across the four competitions marked another milestone in celebrating young culinary talent and shaping the future of India’s hospitality industry.
