Roti Dabeli Starter, Veg
Roti Dabeli
Ingredients:
½ Tbsp Fennel seeds
2 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp imli chutney
¼ Tsp garam masala
1 Tsp chili powder
1Tsp chat masala
Salt to taste
½ Tsp sugar
4 Boiled mashed potatoes
½ Cup pomegranate
½ Cup sev
2 Fine chopped onions
2 Tbsp chopped coriander
Masala peanuts
2 Tbsp garlic chutney
1 Tbsp maida
2 Tbsp green chutney
4-5 Half cooked rotis
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add all spices and imli chutney. Mix well and cool for 1 min
- Add salt and sugar
- Add potatoes. Mix well
- Mash well with a masher
- Transfer in a flat bowl and flaten the potato mixture. Add green coriander, peanuts, onions and 1 Tbsp pomegranate. Dabeli mixture ready.
- In another bowl add 1Tbsp maida and make thick paste using water. Keep aside.
- Take a roti and cut in half and using the maida paste make cones.
- Apply imli chutney, garlic chutney and green chutney to the inner walls of the cone. Add the potato mixture in the cone and garnish with sev, pomegranate, onions and coriander.
- In a pan add butter. When heated add the dabelis and cook them from both the sides.
- Dabelis are ready.
