Lady Finger Ingredients
Butter 1 cup
Icing sugar ½ cup
Vanilla essence 2 Tsp
Milk 1 cup
Maida 2 cups
Baking soda ½ Tsp
For the cream filling:
2 cups mascarpone cheese (I couldn't find it around , so I have used only whipped cream)
Powdered sugar 1 cup
Whipped cream 4 cup (Approximately 1 ½ cup heavy cream which is whipped)
Vanilla essence ½ Tsp
Rum 4 Tsp (optional)
Coffee powder 2 Tbsp
Water 1 cup
Rum 2 Tbsp (optional)
Sugar 1 Tbsp
Cocoa powder dust
Method for making the fingers:
Take butter at room temperature in a bowl. Add sugar and vanilla and mix well.
Add milk and mix well. Sieve maida and baking powder and prepare the dough.
Pipe this into a piping bag. Use a circular nozzle or cut the front of the bag and pipe 3-5 inch long biscuits on a greased baking tray.
Preheat the oven and heat on 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until the borders have turned brown. Let them cool.
Method for the cream filling:
In a large cup, fold in all the ingredients mentioned above for the filling.
Making Coffee water
Mix well all ingredients
Layer the Tiramisu
Use a flat glass bowl for setting.
Dip the prepared lady fingers in coffee water for about 2-3 seconds and place all over the base.
Now layer this base with a layer of cream filling.
Top this layer with cocoa powder dust and shredded/grated Chocolate.
Repeat the layer of coffee dipped fingers, cream filling, cocoa powder and grated Chocolate.
Let it set for about 6-8 hours in fridge and serve cold.
